What's my bio?

 Genoa (Italy) native Vittorio Sommella arrives in California in 2009 and becomes founding member of the "The Big Wave World Tour (BWWT), a sports industry startup based in San Diego. Growing from one single event to an international phenomenon gathering professional communities of athletes and pre-existing events worldwide, the company is eventually acquired in 2014 by the ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals). On the strength of that experience, Vittorio starts his consulting activity mostly leading marketing projects or establishing strategic partnerships globally.

In 2017 he founds Play Global Solutions: a network-based consulting firm focused on supporting organizations realizing their visions. In the same year serves as an advisor for San Diego Sports Innovators, and he is put in charge of the international projects for Startup San Diego, considered the gateway to the striving startup world in San Diego area. Vittorio is an occasional guest lecturer at the MBA program in Sports Management at San Diego State University and he is an active member of the green economy community in southern California.

Vittorio,  holds a master's degree in International Relations, is a certified ExO Sprint Coach and he is one of the first certified Purpose Launchpad Mentors worldwide. In 2020, Vittorio enters the Purpose Alliance ecosystem and becomes first a founding member of Purpose Evolver and in 2022 enters Purpose Alliance Core team becoming director of Services. Today more than ever, Vittorio is committed to realizing projects and ideas for a diverse, sustainable future!
